Arrive by Yacht:Anchoring at Kata Rocks for the Rendezvous

There is no finer way to arrive at the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous than from the water. The headland sits above one of the most sheltered bays on Phuket’s west coast, and on Friday 18 December it becomes the island’s most sociable anchorage.

Why December is made for the west coast

December brings the dry season to Phuket. The northeast monsoon settles in, and the Andaman side of the island enjoys calm water, clear skies and long golden afternoons. For captains, it is the season the west coast truly opens up, and Kata Bay is at its most inviting.

The passage to Kata

Many yachts based at the island’s east coast marinas, such as Ao Po Grand Marina, Yacht Haven and Royal Phuket Marina, make the scenic passage south and around Promthep Cape before turning north to Kata. Others arrive from further afield, cruising in from Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi or the Similan Islands as part of a wider Andaman itinerary.

However you plan your route, give yourself time to settle at anchor before the Brunch opens at 12:00. Watching the bay fill with hulls through the morning is part of the ritual.

From tender to terrace

Once at anchor, the short tender ride to shore is where the Rendezvous begins. Our colleagues will be ready to welcome you, guide you up to The Clubhouse and settle you in for the afternoon.

To help us prepare, let us know your vessel name, length and approximate arrival time when you reserve. We will share anchoring guidance and tender arrangements ahead of the day so your arrival feels effortless.

A magnum to mark the moment

Every yacht arriving for the Rendezvous is welcomed with a complimentary magnum of Champagne. It is a tradition that honours the heart of the Brunch Rendezvous: the yachts, their owners and the crews who bring them here.

What awaits ashore

The Brunch runs from 12:00 to 17:00 at The Clubhouse, with exceptional food, premium free-flow, live entertainment and the debut of From Tender to Terrace, the Kata Rocks collection created exclusively for the Rendezvous. Tickets are THB 5,500++ per guest and include the 2026 limited edition KRSR polo.

Stay for the weekend

Many yachts choose to stay on for Saturday’s Kata Rocks Poker Run, rallying around five locations before the awards evening back at Kata Rocks. Skippers count as one entry with their boat, so your crew can join the fun with ease.

Plan your arrival

The bay is waiting, and so is the terrace. Bring your yacht, your friends and your appetite for a long Andaman afternoon.
